Darryl's passion for cinematography started back in high school in Detroit where he and his friends would get together to shoot punk-hardcore-metal shows. Having launched as a DP in 2009, Darryl is constantly working towards evolving his skill and his aesthetic sensibilities, in order to provide excellence to every project he works on.
Darryl has shot everything from short films to music videos, commercials, reality television and independent feature films. Some of Darryl’s most recent work includes being DP of the viral hit comedy web series, 'Teachers' (now a TV series on TVLand) as well as shooting three of the six shorts for the 2015 street-theater-film project for Center Stage Theater out of Baltimore, MD entitled 'My America Too'. Directed by Derrick Sanders, 'My America Too' deals with issues surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement. Samples of these works can be found at www.centerstage.org/.
Currently, Darryl is shooting commercials, web content, as well as working as an additional camera operator on the NBC television series 'Chicago PD', 'Chicago Fire', and Fox's 'Empire'.
