Susan Cohen & Sydnie Suskind
Creators / Executive Producers / Writers / Directors

Sydnie Suskind and Susan Cohen sold a spec pilot, 'Used', to Comedy Central UK and set up another TV series 'Borders' with Red Hour Productions and Legendary Television. Currently, Susan and Sydnie are developing a twisted dark comedy set in the Iraq War.

Sydnie launched in television as a humble Production Assistant before clawing her way into the writer’s room. She was a staff writer on the CBS comedy 'Dweebs', where she had two scripts produced, as well as on Ninth House Network’s interactive Internet sitcom 'All Work, All Play'. In addition, she was a freelance writer on the Nickelodeon animated series 'CatDog' and a featured performer for the sketch comedy troupe Running With Scissors.

Along with her years as a professional writer, Sydnie has headed development for major studio deals. Most recently, Sydnie was Vice President of Development for KeyPix Productions, a family-friendly feature film company with a deal at Disney best known for the 'Air Bud' and 'Air Buddies' franchises. Sydnie also headed development for Lauren Graham's Warner Bros Television deal, Good Game Entertainment, during which time she developed three series for the WB Network. Prior to that, she served as Director of Development at Turtleback Productions at Alliance Atlantis.

Ironies of all ironies, Susan, a graduate of the prestigious American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women (AFI DWW), grew up without a TV. Her very Eastern European mother told Susan's two older brothers to stop fighting over the TV or it would end up outside. And you don’t mess with Susan's mother! Cause that TV ended up on the porch, in the rain. Bye-bye, TV. Hello, Susan’s infatuation with television.

Susan’s AFI DWW short, 'Open Your Eyes, which she wrote and directed, screened at over 70 film festivals, winning 35 awards from such festivals as Palm Springs International ShortFest, as well as numerous nominations, including Milan International Film Festival and the Grand OFF Awards inWarsaw, Poland. Susan's second directorial effort, 'The Mourning Hour', has already garnered numerous awards including Best Female Director at the Glendale International Film Festival and nominations including Best Film at the GrandOFF Awards, Best Short Film at the Beverly Hills Film Festival and Best Short Drama at the Trail Dance Film Festival.
